The founder of a creative agency underpinned by Te Ao Māori

Ani is on a mission to change the way Māori businesses are represented through design and technology. The CEO and Creative Director of Whakaaro Factory, a creative agency that was established in 2013 and specialises in indigenous design and digital communication. Te Ao Māori, Tikanga Māori and Tikanga Marae underpin the agency’s core design value system. Ani is a self-taught graphic designer with schooling in documentary directing and presenting from South Seas Film and Television School and digital filmmaking from Yoobee School of Design. She is a digital native who applies Mātauranga Māori to all of her work.
