Keen to attend Festival, but cost a barrier?

Thanks to our generous community of alumni and supporters like you, we’ve been able to assist more than 1,700 young people to attend Festival for the Future since 2011. For some, the experience has been life-changing. While we’re a small charity and we have to make the Festival work financially, our goal is to make the Festival as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you’d like to attend, but cost is a barrier, please complete the scholarship application form linked below. We assess applications on a rolling basis, and we’ll do our best to help!

Scholarship criteria. Anyone can apply.

Anyone can apply for support to attend the Festival. We also highly encourage you to team with others up and fundraise to help cover transport and accommodation.

While these criteria are not exclusive, we do try to focus efforts on supporting people who:
– identify as young people aged 14–25 years;
– experience disadvantage and hardship;
– live in predominantly rural / provincial areas;
– demonstrate initiative and leadership potential;
– are willing to share their experience with their community back home;

“Having my eyes opened to the opportunities to have their/our voices heard within government, and the opportunities to have our say and make a difference for our community and nation. And of course – meeting so many beautiful people, and all of the out of the box thinking!”
