Gerri Ward

Gerri is Director of Climate Change and Sustainability Services at EY in Wellington. Her personal purpose is to enable a thriving Aotearoa by standing for her turangawaewae and our people. Her mahi is imbedded with the aim to work with people, and for organisations, that have the courage and vision to strive for a greater sense of purpose. 

Gerri has an extensive background in sustainability advice and strategy development, working as Head of Sustainability at Z Energy for over 8 years; leading Z’s decarbonization pathway, climate reporting, community impact initiatives, and waste reduction activities. 

Gerri has also held roles in central government for 7 years, at both the Ministry for Environment, leading the Carbon Neutral Public service programme and voluntary carbon markets advice to business; and at the Department of Conservation, leading the Business and Biodiversity Offsetting CDRP Programme.
