Sonya Williams is a co-founder and director of the online investment platform Sharesies, which aims to give someone with $5 and someone with $5 million the same investment opportunities. Now, more than 500,000 people use Sharesies in Aotearoa and Australia. As a B Corp, they're focused on building a business with true purpose. 

Sonya has built a career in technology, global marketing, and product management in NZ-loved companies Xero and Kiwibank. She’s passionate about using technology to solve big problems, and create a more equitable society. This led her to seeing the opportunity to make investing more accessible, providing everyone with an equal chance to grow their wealth.

Sonya is passionate about creating a world where everyone has equal opportunities to reach their full potential, and how empathy, creativity and innovation can be used to solve big problems.
