Yoong Ru Heng

The improv artist bringing the power of “yes and” to New Zealand business.

Yoong Ru Heng has been working as a Business Analyst (BA) since 2010, and joined Redvespa as a Consultant in 2017. Her BA experience spans both public and private sectors, and includes working on projects for Immigration New Zealand, SkyTV, and Westpac. She has been a Covert Player since 2019, after taking classes in improv as part of her learning and development. Regardless of the project’s focus, she regularly applies the art and principles of improv in her approach to project and team work - generative spirit, ‘yes and’, collaboration, and active listening. These principles have enabled her to build relationships and get buy-in from stakeholders in industries where she otherwise has limited knowledge. 

As well as delighting clients for Redvespa, you can also regularly find her delighting audiences in improv shows at Auckland’s Covert Theatre.
